The Peninsula on Possum Kingdom Lake
The Peninsula refers to the stretch of land accessed by Park Road 36 on Possum Kingdom's east side. It is the location for most of the businesses on PK Lake. The youth camps are also located on The Peninsula.
This area consists mainly of BRA leasehold properties, although there are a few locations where private leasehold is possible. The terrain is gently and sloping in some locations, and hilly in others.

This area was one of the first developed at Possum Kingdom Lake so many of the homes are older. The area is very desirable due to its location on the lake.
In recent years, many of these homes have begun getting big facelifts - inside and out - to modernize them. More recently we are seeing homes being torn down and rebuilt, so there is a good range of residential options in the Peninsula area. Boat docks are common in most areas of the Peninsula.

The Peninsula is fairly well centrally located on PK Lake, which makes easy access to both sides of the lake. Sandy Beach, a popular public day beach area is located at the end of the Peninsula. Hell's Gate, popular with boaters and swimmers, is only minutes away by boat from most Peninsula boat docks.
