Our local eating establishments are geared for the lake lifestyle - some are more casual than others, but you'll find they all have a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The hours of operation tend to reflect the season, with some places closing early during the winter, or perhaps not opening at all on a Monday or Tuesday. Calling in advance is always a good idea!
On the East Side and the North End of PK Lake
A convenient drive from Sportsman's World, Gaines Bend, The Cliffs Resort, the Peninsula neighborhoods, and the area surrounding the lake's North End:

Offering both upscale and casual dining - there's something here to satisfy most any appetite. Southwest inspired and Caribbean-infused cuisine (reservations recommended).
Or, for a quick bite, cocktails or appetizers, in a relaxed atmosphere, give Spurs a try! Located next to the Chaparral Grille.
Hill Country Harbor – 3415 Scenic Point Road – 940/779-3600Upscale cuisine in a rustic and charming lake setting. With both lakeside patio and inside dining available serves Texas-style favorites with a twist! Open Wednesday through Sundays, lunch is served from 11 am until 2 pm, and dinner from 6 pm until 9 pm. Beverage service includes a full bar and nice selection of wines. Dinner reservations are suggested - arrive by land or by boat!

Casual dining with lunch and dinner served most days (winter hours and summer hours are different). Full bar and a varied menu that will satisfy most appetites.

family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and open most days. Varied menu with a daily lunch buffet - the place is usually packed at lunch!
Limited menus for sandwiches and similar lunch fare are now available at the North Forty on FM 2353 (940.779.3017) and at the Rock Creek Camp off N. Hwy 16 (940.779.2766). If you're driving around this end of the lake, stop in and see what's cookin'! On the West Side of PK Lake

The Hungry Fox at Fox Hollow Camp is a casual

days. Known as having he best catfish on the lake, the menu is varied. Accessible by car or by boat. A popular restaurant with boaters!

- Graford has the very popular Steak Shed - open on Friday & Saturday nights only. Reservations recommended, or you'll wait in line (and you may wait in line anyway). Good steaks, salad bar, and entertainment! Located at 112 S. Main in Graford – 940/664-3425
- Wildcatter Steakhouse - a great steakhouse with good atmosphere located on Hwy 16 between PK and Graham. Reservations recommended most nights. Good variety on the menu and full bar in a casual, yet upscale Texas-style setting. Located at 602 Hwy 16 South – 940/549-0035.
- Strawn is home to Mary's Cafe, where some claim you'll find the best chicken-fried steak in all of Texas. Popular with hunters and locals from every locale! You can find Mary's at 119 Grant Ave, Strawn; 254/672-5741 - just look for the place with all the cars and pick up trucks out front.
- Palo Pinto Cafe - across from the courthouse on Hwy 180 in Palo Pinto just about 12 mi west of Mineral Wells, many stop in here on their way to the lake on a Friday night. Open for lunch during the week with dinner only on Friday and Saturday. Located at 108 S. 6th Ave; 940/659-2458.
